This part of the Ottoman Empire refers to the major religious beliefs of the Empire
The Ottoman Empire had a foundation built off Islamic beliefs. The rulers were Muslim, and a good amount of the citizenry was as well. Being Islamic however, deprived rulers of the ability to force their religion upon others. This helped their empire thrive in more ways then ever. When they took over Constantinople, people of all religions and beliefs were allowed in. Because of this, the city became the capital of art. A wide range of cultural influences and diversity effected how beautiful the city, now known as Istanbul, would become. This is an achievement because it not only reflects their military success, but also their social and religious hospitality.
Ottomans empire exceeded in their ability to make magnificent buildings. Their religious freedom had a lot to do with their architecture, because it allowed people of all beliefs to express their artistic and religious aspirations through paint, textiles, sculptures, buildings, and metal work. This expanded with time, and soon made Constantinople became a city of art and religion.
